As per the Hindu calendar, this celebration is conducted from "Chaitra Shudha Pratipada to Shudha Navami". On the day of "Ramnavami", in the afternoon the birth of Lord Ram is celebrated and the prasad of Sunthavada is distributed to all the devotees. This is followed by a Kirtan. On the same day, in the evening, a program of "Geet Ramayan" is organized. On "Chaitra Shudha 11th", Shri Prabhu Ram's palanquin (Palkhi) leaves for a procession around the City, known as Nagar Pradakshina.
