Shri Koupineshwar Temple Committee Trust- P.T.R. No. A-24 (Thane)
As of date, the entire Temple Complex is managed and controlled by Shri Koupineshwar Temple Committee Trust, "the Trust" which is a Public Charitable Trust, registered with the Charity Commissioner’s office. The Trust is responsible for looking after the maintenance and upkeep of the entire Temple Complex and for conducting all the rituals and activities associated with the Temple.

Formation of the Trust
Sometime around the year 1935, the citizens of the city of Thane, made an application to the Court for bringing about better management of the Temple Complex and the Trust was accordingly formed pursuant to the Orders of the Civil Court
After the formation of the Trust, various improvements were made to the Temples and also the surrounding areas of the temples by constructing buildings, commercial shops, etc. which could act as a regular source of income for the temple to ensure it's proper management.
Incidentally, the Trust also owns and manages the Shri. Shani Mandir, which is located near the Central Jail, Thane and is also known as the Killa Maruti Mandir. This temple was previously managed by it's erstwhile priest, who was also a priest in the Shri Koupineshwar Temple, but after the Trust came into existence, he requested the Trust to also look after the affairs and management thereof, and the necessary procedure to hand over the said temple to the Trust, was completed. The said Temple has ever since been owned, managed and controlled by the Trust.
